Ralph won Specialist Music Show of the year for 2007in the PPI Awards in Dublin at the end of October. Called the "Radio Oscars" for all Ireland Ralph's Friday night show on Radio Ulster McLean's Country saw off competition from the likes of RTE to land the prize. Ralph was, unsurprisingly, delighted and thanked everyone who has supported the show and his career down the years.

On the radio show front Ralph can be heard on BBC Radio Ulster from 8 to 10pm Tuesday to Friday night. It's the Soul Show on Tuesdays, everything from retro reggae and ska to classic Aretha and Otis,classic rock and pop night is on Wednesday with everything from Nina Simone to Marc Bolan and the Album Show is on Thursday night and takes in everything from new releases to classics from the likes of Pink Floyd and the Fab Four. Friday night is . as always, McLean's Country bringing you the best of roots music old and new. Don't forget if you can't listen live you can listen again for seven days after broadcast on the bbc site www.bbc.co.uk/radioulster. Just look for the Ralph McLean and McLean's Country pages.
